Solved a while ago ...

I changed the XL file's working folder to the folder created by the both Domino server and DOLS installations:
workspace = session.GetEnvironmentString ("Directory", True) + "\domino\html"
from the previous folder that is db specific:
session.GetEnvironmentString ("Directory", True) + "\" + StrLeft(LCase(db.filepath), "NsfFileName") }.

For instance, when off-line, XL file's working space is now "C:\Lotus iNotes\DATA\domino\html", instead of previously "C:\Lotus iNotes\DATA\sub_4\zz\ptestoneptestone\"
